Long recording in Live - solution?

Hello,

according to that thread http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... &hilit=caf

is there any developer, who can confirm that as a useful feature for next version?

I realized with test, that Live is able to record ONLY 202mins:40seconds long file (2.15GB file) in 44khz, 16bit, stereo. After reaching that size, Live doesn't stop recording, it still goes in record mode, but waveform in the track is canceled.

There should be very easy solution, immediately after reaching maximum file size, without break to start a new file.
Would it be possible to make at least that as 'feature' into next builds of Live?

Of course, as the Apple Logic, there is more sophiscated method - to use on OSX machines instead of WAV file, CAF format with unlimited file size (or any other self developed format for Live)

Thank you for any feedback on that. At the moment it is impossible to use Live for long recordings without interruption.
