I have a problem that appear pretty much all the time since a week...
I am composing in ableton 4, and sometimes the little square"D" in the top corner right of the window flash to red... the result is the muting of one of the track for a while.
What stranger is that this is never the same track or the same spot that make the D becoming red.
I didn't find any answer to this in the manuel.
I am wondering what could I do.
My computer setting didn't change from before this problem happened.
Thank you for your help

D for Disk

as in 'slow'

Solution : set a few loops to be from the RAM and keep only the large and long tracks from the disk, that will lower the disk seeking.
Or get a faster disk setup.

Hi Killerwatts,

is it a certain project that causes the red D?
If yes, could you send it to me (without
the sample files if they are too long).
Sometimes, certain hard disk / BIOS version
combinations cause such disk problems,
but anyway I'd like to know if we have a
(reproducable) bug here, or something special
in your song causing it.

Thanks,
Ralf
