Downloaded the demo for my Mac, loved it!! Bought the full boxed copy and a Midi Keyboard and it's the most fun I've had making music in ages!! Its just a sublime piece of software.

Coming from a guitar based background I wanted to get into electonic styles of music and Live is perfect. I'm still very much a beginner but managed to make a sort of Trance track and was please with the result for my first attempt!

I want to try something like The Prodigy, The Chemical Bros and something DNB next!

Well done Ableton you've made me a happy man!

Have fun, it's addicting. Soon you'll justify purchasing the full version, then another controller, then a new PC, then maybe another controller... Slippery sloper my friend.

Getting some fairly cheap monitor style AKG K77 headphones for christmas so I dont drive the missus up the wall. Got my eye on the Launchpad and some M Audio Montors. But all this can wait till I get my head around the program. I'll attempt to walk before I can run :D

It is a remarkable package!

I also recently purchased Live Intro. I also love it.

How are you liking the sounds that came with it? I have found use for some of the drums so far...

Yeah they're good. I'm still a little confused where everything is located on the HD though. I installed the addiditonal 7GB of content and still trying to find my way around.

Me too. There's a zillion things I still dont have a clue about, but its fun to discover.

There's so many possibilities to create sounds and beats, whenever I feel bored I enter some midi and effect racks untill I get somebody in a tantrum.

Will first collect a couple of hundred one measure beats, then bounce them to audio and then see how I get them together.

And if I dont get them together I will delete them, I'm pretty nihilistic in doing so.

Today I've been busy with repetitor. At certain quantize settings the beat got much too fast, so I lowered the bpm to 20 and stretched the midi to a 2 bar beat.

Still didnt get what I want, but will try next time in a different setting.

Tried a bit of side chain compression to my bass from a silenced kick drum...sounds ok but I think I've gone a bit over the top with it :)

Not very likely.

Well my mac is certainly more stable than any PC if used before, its just more expensive. I can see why people get PCs though..
