I have the platinum bundle, any one having GUI and audio issues?

I'm having exactly this issue. Not sure whether Ableton 8.1 or Waves 7 broke it.
What version of waves are you using?

My setup is

Mac pro 8 core 2.8ghz
OS X 10.5.8
Waves 7
Ableton 8.1.1

Need to find a solution pronto.

the vst version appears to work smoothly but au doesnt

"Waves Plugins in AU with Ableton Live is not supported and this kind of behavior could occur.
I'd suggest deleting the AU Waveshell (or hiding it in case you'll need it for later in Logic).
The AU Waveshell is at;
System HD/ Library/ Audio/ Plugins/ Components

You should use Waves Plugins in Ableton Live as Vst's."

do you remember when this broke?
I think it must of been the upgrade to Waves 7.

I tried going back to V6 but it seems that once you've upgraded to 7 there's no going back.
Even if you reinstall V6 the wave shell is still v7.

I even seem to be having some issues in logic. L1 seems to be showing incorrect amount of gain reduction.

There have been a lot of problems with AU plugins in Live 8.1.1 that weren't happening in 8.1. Could be more of a Live issue than a Waves one. But if they aren't working in Logic either maybe there's something wrong with Waves AU as well as Live 8.1.1 AU support.

Waves only supports the VST version for Live....
