Hi guys, have beach ball hell with 8.1. I also tried the lastest beta 8.1.1b.

Could someone tell me where to get Live8.0.9 for Snow Leopard.

you can get any final release (i.e. not betas) by editing the download links.

get the url for the current version, then change numbers in two positions..

I think you're right. I also didn't read the part about no backward compatiblity for older versions if you have saved your sets using 8.1.

Appears you can't copy/paste tracks from 8.1>8.9 either

I tried that, specifically for 8.0.9 and it didn't work. Can you post a link?

I'm using 8.0.9 on the Macbook I use in the live rig, care of the installer disc that came with the Novation Launchpad. I have 8.1 on my main production tower, but I only use that to write music, and then render stems and loops to port to the Macbook to set up in that ALS. I've used 8.0.9 for a few gigs and it is nice and stable for me, even with a bunch of stuff happening. I saw 8.1 crash twice in a friend's live rig a few weeks back. Just neat, no fuss, back to desktop crashes like it never happened. Scary stuff. Wave to the crowd. Get used to it people!

8.1 has driven me to madness in the studio too. The Drum Racks "slow down" bug means rendering down grouped stems of existing tracks for the live set is an ordeal, and one that turns an otherwise slightly boring bit of house-keeping into increasingly furious homework. I basically have to load a track, sit and stare at it for a minute, turn off as many Drum Racks as I can while enduring the super slow response time, and hope one of them trips Ableton out of its stupor. It is an odd bug, but such a well reported one that I'm truly amazed it hasn't been addressed yet. It's a deal breaker really. I use Drum Racks like crazy. One for Kicks, one for Snares, one for Hats, one for Percussion, one for Stabs, one for vocal chop ups...

Help me Able-Ten-Kenobi... you're my only hope.

ps, I could FTP or Drop.io the installer for 8.0.9 if someone genuinely needs. I don't think that violates anything, as long as you have your own valid serial/account.
