live/reason midi problems with OSX somebody HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

so here is the issue, i have a ti book, running os 10.1
i use my 777(external device) as the master midi clock
the out is running into my xbase09(external device) midi in,
then out of the thru port into the in port of my midiman 2x2(usb)
using reason alone in this sequence IN OS 9 w/ oms midi driver works absolutly beautiful, no problems or latency what so ever
using the same set up using just live in os 9 works(bpm is synced)BUT...
after a few moments the sample will just stop playing and where the little timeclock loop indicater thing on the track column is, a stgring of numbers will show up and the sample will not play anymore(not even if i start it)
now, in osx, using the same setup, reason syncs and accepts the midi, but there are crazy latency problems, it sounds like when u are mixing 2 records and the match falls off, then u overcorrect, then get it back on....it will almost sync for a while, then about every 15 bars it will go off and back on again, repeating this problem
as another person posted, live runs like absolute crap in osx, using my same setup, running just live, it accepts the midi sync, however, it is not synced whatso ever! and the same number string thing happens too...
it is very apparent that osx has some serious midi issues, or am i doing something wrong?, a friend said that jaguar is going to have a built in midi/audio controller, do any of you have jaguar and use live and or reason with it, and do you still have the same problems?
help is much appreciated
spread the knowledge!
