kontakt player midi problem

Hello
I am having problems getting more than midi channel 1 working in ableton whilst using kontakt player 4 and the evolve mutations soundpack.
I am using midi yoke.
it is setup in ableton as :
I setup 2 midi tracks
In midi track 1 I drag and drop noatikl
I then load up a simple 3 voice midi file, make sure the midi output is going to midi yoke 1 and sync is ticked
I then drag to midi track 2 the kontact player and load up 3 instrument voices
I make sure on the midi track it is receiving from midi yoke 1 and set channel to all midi channels
I then setup in the player the 3 midi channel numbers (A1 to A3) - the only options I have are omni or midi from host A (1 to 16), the rest (B etc) are disabled
I then arm the track and press play
Only midi channel 1 is being seen
Now either the player is limited to 1 midi channel ( I cannot see any mention of this anywhere, unless it is buried) or it does not like the way midi is handled by software midi cable yokes
I am stumped
even using the midi monitor display in the player only shows midi data coming in on A 1 (even though I have set noatikl to only use midi channel 1 and in the ableton midi track I have incoming from midi yoke 1 and midi channel 2)
any ideas?
thanks
