Used Ableton and it's not Electronica

Post by LLR » Mon Jan 04, 2010 8:58 pm

You can check out what I use Ableton for here http://www.myspace.com/louleavestheroom

It isn't really electronica, but I love the looping and processing Ableton brings to the table. Let me know what you think!

Black Pen has a nice sparse, claustrophobic feel and builds nicely. Like it. All the songs have a quirky thing going on, great stuff.

Well, thanks a lot for posting the link to your music! Great voice, great arrangements, great songs! Each track has its own unique mood. You've got a fan here

Thanks a lot. Black Pen is my favorite as well, but for some reason all my friends like the gospel flavored 1-3-5. Go figure.

Wow, I was highly impressed by your quasi relaxed sound. It almost seems like you don't give a shit, but in actuality, you know exactly what you're doing. Which is quite a treat.

This is definitely not what's posted around here (It's mostly house - which can be good in minimal doses). So yeah, I definitely dig your tunes, man.

bandito3, thanks. If you know of anyone interested in a collaboration, let me know. I am always trying to become more than an army of one.

You should be able to hear my latests track in need of assistance here:

liked black pen a lot, and your tracks are a master class in 'less is more' sparseness. real musical talent.

Funny you mention collaboration, because after listening to your stuff, I came back here with the intention of asking if you'd like to do some vocals on one of my tracks. Check out my soundcloud page to listen to my stuff, I usually have a different vocalist for each song (as of late). Let me know if you're interested!

As for the music, I've got to admit Lou's my son's name, so I'm a bit biased, but it was really great!

Vlantis, I loved The Play and Changes Coming Day.

I would be happy to attempt some vocals.
