Assigning an APC40 button to nothing?

So I'm sure this is really simple but I didn't see it covered in any searches.

Are there any good tips for assigning a button on the APC to nothing?
In other words, at this point I don't have a function I want to re-assign it to, I just don't want it to perform it's default function.

The "Tap-Tempo" button is a good example.

Thanks!!

PS: The way I've been doing it so far is to map these functions to a bypassed plugin, but is there a more classy way?

why not just assign it to a empty clip slot, then remove the stop button from said clip slot...

Cool. That's a good thought.
Thanks for the help!
