You need to click the little headphone icon in the corner of the browser.

Oh figured it out already was doing it anyway, just not on my drum rack samples/non wav etc,

any on know if thatys possible?

Thanks for the quick reply, by the way! got into the track and just forgot to check back, but seriously why can't i preview the the drum rack, individual sounds, for example snare folder operator 808 for the drum machines? I see there not wav, but, but......

I have a slightly separate issue:

I'm using a set of USB headphones which use a different sound output to my normal laptop speakers - if I want the Live output to go through the headphones I have to change that through Preferences. Is there any way I can have the master output go through my laptop speakers like normally, but hear the browser previews through my headphones? Checking the headphone button only turns on autopreview.

you would need for live to recognize the phone as a seperate out for example 3/4 change the setting on master channel where it says cue and master one would say 1/2 output and on would say 3/4. not sure how with usb phones, but sounds plausible. best way to do what you want is a audio intrface with two stereo/ outputs.

asio4all might help in combining your USB headphones and laptop line out into one output as seen by Live. Then use previous routing tip.
