Just curious to see how many of you own a nice acoustic guitar.

I got a Takamine for my 16th birthday. Still have it and use it. Still sounds beautiful and is very confortable to play. Many other acoustic guitars I played made my hands hurt after a while.

A beaten up circa 1978 Yamaha with dreadnought body from a friend which was mostly used in the church folk group. Seen better days but I've heard worse...

Would love a proper nice acoustic, something like a Guild or Taylor but I can dream on ...

i've never really been a fan of taylors. They sound way too bright and pingy to me. I love the darker, richer color to Martins.

Seagull Country Rosewood with a Duet II piezo/mic pickup. it's nice but a *nice* acoustic is on the list.

do you guys always put in a new 9V when you change the strings? I've been bad about that and too many times have unscrewed the pickup from the outside to put in a new battery.

naw. i change the 9v a couple times a year. but when worst comes to worst, i can loose my strings and get a new battery in without cutting them or taking them off. i have to retune and let it stretch a bit, but it's not a big deal with my guitar.

A 1976 Epiphone FT-350BL dreadnought which I bought new from a wholesale distributor. Last year, picked up a Takamine EG523SC-12 twelve string acoustic/electric jumbo.

This is my guitar bought it second hand years ago.. love it. It has its own tone. Love the looks (It looks a little bit better in person - plus mine has aged nicely now too!)

I've really been getting into playing acoustic again - I have been using different tunings - it makes playing guitar fun again (It's like having to learn again for me...)

I was trained in the 80s on an Ibanez Classical Guitar I bought in 86 (which I still have).
I only play the guitar when I am composing these days and when I do I use a Godin Multiac ACS (Nylon strung midi guitar).

None at the moment. Wrote to Santa Klaus about a Godin but eventually mail got problems...
