tweaking Drum Rack param while it's playing...

So i'm trying to tweak parameters of the drum rack while listening to a midi pattern I just created. While listening back each note triggers a chain and the view on the bottom is constantly jumping around with each note. How do I make the jumping around when each note is triggered stop?

There is a button on the bottom left of your drum rack that might be activated. It Automatically switches to whatever pad is last pressed.. it might be an A. not positive.
