I used to be excited about this, now I could give a shit. Christ. It's been in development since before Moses was wearing short pants.

And that demo? When the guy actually says there's no sound I laughed out loud. Let's get some hype going and make a video and get everything all set up and then DON'T over an aural demo.

If that just isn't the ultimate fail I don't know what is, lol.

"Ja, sorry. Zhere iz no zound."

   :P

That thing looks so cool - it doesn't really need sound.

Yes. It does. :|

Actually, the sound part will come in another 5 years of development, lol.

The thing is built around the elektron mythology (stickers, blueprints of prototypes etc have been shipped with MDs & MnMs for years), so expect the brandwhoring hype to be especially nauseating. Kool boxes with interfaces that suck the patterns right out of you - no doubt. But suggesting they could be improved is alot like asking a fundamentalist to wipe their ass with the book of genesis.

If the price isn't set by a massive retard, ala tenori-on, I'll get one.

as for using it as a portable midi-controller - no thanks. Those keys look grand for programming patterns, but I'd be hella surprised if they're any more velocity sensitive than a qwerty keyboard.

as for the No sound thing, I'd like to add a dry chuckle to the chorus. Last time I seen a soundless demo of hardware was the Linndrum II, and look what happened to that

If you look at their web site you will see that they are charging 649 euros for a desk light 8O It's a very nice desk light and they give it a fancy name but...

The OP-1 looks very nice but how much is it going to cost?

hehe - they're selling that rig and as far as I can see there's not even a single picture of it in use ? Super-duper-mega-combo-FAIL-extreme !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome combooooooo!!!!

Seriously pretentious stuff right there, as you can tell by the hyper-chic japanese font added for good measure.

It's looking like it's gonna be another tenori-on in terms of price.

The first vid he gets a sine out of the thing which, you know, I can also make with my asscheeks. Later in that vid there's an awkward moment where....um....nothing else is working, lol.

The second vid gives us sounds that the Bent Speak & Spell shill that comes around here might have generated from one of his overpriced godawful pieces of shite.

:P
