Hello,
I just purchased max for live and got it authorized in live 8.1.1 on windows XP.
When I launch the file "Max5_41439.exe" there is a windows installer pop up:

"Windows ® Installer version 4.5.6001.22159
msiexec /Option <Paramètre requis> [Paramètre facultatif]
Options d'installation [...]"

(sorry it's in french) and the installation stops.
I think it's asking me a command line ?
How can I install max for live ?

I'm not a windows guy, mac OSX here, so this might not be much help.
Any ways..
Have you downloaded both Live, and Max?
When i installed M4L it was a case of buying it from the abes online shop, opening Live, going to the preference page, and reauthorizing.
At that point i got a prompt screen telling me to down load Max from the C76 site, and a link.
Once that was done all i had to do was restart Live and every thing was golden.

There was one hic-up.
Live didn't install the Max live pack, so i had to do that manually.
No big deal as it lives in the Max application folder.

yes, I downloaded both live and M4L, but it seems like it's a windows installer bug...
