MIDI track changing MIDI channel

Hi,
I know this may be a simple fix and may have been discussed before but I could not find the answer in a search.
I have a midi track with input set to all inputs all channels. However, the track is changing any instrument's channel to 1. In other words if I input on channel 10, it's changing the channel going to my softsynth to channel 1.
Anyone have any idea what I could be doing wrong?
