peak fcb2n midi foot switch controller

hey everybody i have just brought a peak fcb2n midi footcontroller i am running it through my m-audio axiom 25 on a macbook pro and i,m having trouble programing it the manual it came with, does not explain very clearly how to midi map.it has three switches and i just want to be able to scroll up and down and start and stop can anyone help me,i would very greatful if you can thank you.
