I've been doing more and more dj-sets in Live, and I've really missed the opportunity to set marks in my songs in clipview. It would be cool if you could set marks in the clips for e.g. intro, vers, chorus and so on. Or just color the different parts of the songs. The alternative is ofcourse to cut the clips by hand, but it's not that practical when you mixing on the fly, and want to make an overwiev over your song fast. Also you could think of saving the markings with the .asd file, thats automatically made, when Live analyses a sound file.

I don't prepare to much before I head out playing, just for the flexibility of it. The thing is, though, I would like that when I import a full song into my clipsession, then the .asd file would remember me playing that song earlier, and have colored settings of the arrangement of the song. This way I can browse through the song fast, I know when the different parts come, while playing the file, so I can make better transitions. I can cut without prelistening, hence giving me more time on the knobs, and less time cutting and scrolling.

You can put markers in sessionview, and the idea would be the same. So if its the first time you play it, you would be able to put markers or color the parts running, making live remembering it the next time.

You can color almost everything in live, why not clipparts?
