So I start Live 8.1.1, load an instance of Reaktor 5.15.002.

It prompts me to select my auto-save folder. I click the 'browse' button and it hangs up forever. What gives?

Hmmm....haven't had any issues with Reaktor in L8 yet. what platform/OS?

Try starting Reaktor stand-alone and setting a default auto-save folder so you don't get asked when used as a plug-in. This should a least get you going until an Abelton fix.

It's a Core2 Quad machine, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I just tried it here and it worked fine. XP SP3 32-bit.

Works fine here also.

OK, is anyone using the -_EnsureKeyMessagesForPlugins flag in Options.txt? That's the only non-standard thign I'm doing.

My Options.txt is:

-_EnsureKeyMessagesForPlugins
-NoVstGesturesRequired
-ThinningAggressiveness=0

Start up Reaktor in another host and load an ensemble. Then, go to Reaktor's preferences and check "auto save off by default". Note that this option only appears in the preferences when Reaktor's used as a plugin.

Thanks to all who made suggestions. I also contacted Ableton Support, and inexplicably, rebooting my computer a couple times made it work. They seemed to think that Windows 7 UAC was the problem, but I turned that off about a nanosecond after I installed it.

Glad you got it sorted.
