Trying to track down an issue I'm having with my A Station. Noticed someone else had a similar issue with a Novation Nova.

Has anyone been able to successfully use a Novation synth as an external midi module? In other words, you've tracked some midi date, and send the midi data to the Novation synth real time?

Both myself and the previous poster are having hung note issues.

I have a similar problem with hanging notes with my Super Bass-Station
I have to change presets and then change back to my patch and then it's okay..
kind of a pain. I think it happens when I stop playback before live sends the "note off" to the bass-station.

OK, so far we have this issue with (running a pull on vintage synth as well)

A Station
Super Bass Station
Nova
Super Nova

Anyone else? Would love to compile a list and give to novation, maybe they can help us all!

Interesting, we had some hung notes with the Supernova the other day, I assumed it was my midi breakout. I'll try to explore this in the next couple of days to see if there is definitely a problem here as well.

At first I thought it was my Motu 828, as the person with the nova also was using an 828, but I switched it out to a midi uno I have when I travel, and the exact same issue happened.

It's possible this isn't just novation, but I've never had a hanging note issue with my korg ms2000br.

a while back i would get hung midi notes with my xio in sony acid pro, but after an os update from novation it went away...not had an issue in live.

Yeah, someone else told me they had that problem with their novation as well and once they did an OS upgrade it resolved itself. Unfortunately my OS upgrade had no effect...

Oooh. I have an SBS and a MOTU 828mkIII. I've had a few hung notes but don't know when and if it was ableton. I think it happened with my old M-audio Delta 1010LT too. Just bought a new PSU as I heard on the novation tech help that it could be the PSU on older synths. I'd have thought the A-station too new though!?!? I don't use my SBS much as I'm often moving my stuff around and it's another thing to plug in. I've just moved it into my soundcard rack though so should be using it more from now on though. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Hi,i use a bass station (keyboard model) and yes now and again a note will "hang" ,MacGuffin is right it happens if you stop playback before the note off info is sent to the synth, well thats the problem i have, im not sure about notes hanging "during" playback as this has never happened to me:)
