in the world to have a moog voyager and not be able to write a track.
Plugins are shite. i dont care what argument people throw at me.. softsynths will never be the real thing.beats me wrote:Seems like more and more producers from the famous to the not so famous are cutting this thing lose in favor of plug-ins.
Synthesisers synthesise sounds, so how on earth is a "hard" synth any more real than a "soft" one?funky shit wrote: softsynths will never be the real thing.

I don't care what argument you throw at me. A synthesiser - virtual or analog - is never a tuba.funky shit wrote:001101101101101101100011101011 isnt a VCO now is it?sporkles wrote:Synthesisers synthesise sounds, so how on earth is a "hard" synth any more real than a "soft" one?funky shit wrote: softsynths will never be the real thing.
I think this is mostly a personal preference and perception thing, which is perfectly acceptible. I just don't believe that with all the softsynths constantly coming out and updates to existing ones that software isn't going to be on par with hardware or surpass it and a lot of pros (for lack of a better word) already feel that way.funky shit wrote:Plugins are shite. i dont care what argument people throw at me.. softsynths will never be the real thing.beats me wrote:Seems like more and more producers from the famous to the not so famous are cutting this thing lose in favor of plug-ins.
But aye.. i love all my equipment.. i just have an attention span of a 4 year old on crack.

A squirell neither a compressor, nor an EQ.q.musgrove wrote:yes but amping your softsynths in the real world can do wonders for all that "chaos" that we like so. Although I agree, hardware is not a cat
