Hi guys,

I am timestretching a long guitar piece that I'd like to export as a .wav file. Sounds great when I play it in Ableton, but when I select Export Audio/Video I get a blank .wav file only. I've done a search on this forum & on Google but can't find any helpful info on the subject, so if any of you guys could give me some pointers that would be much appreciated! Here's a screenshot of my export settings:

If you choose "master" as rendered track, make sure that the tracks output is routed to "master" and not to "ext. out" - this would bypass the master and you´d end-up with a blank file.

Best,
Christian

Thanks Kristian - I'll check that I've done that :)

Ok I have the same problem - I've recorded a audio clip and I need to normalize it, so I press cmd + shit + r, the export-window pops up and I set the correct channel, length and so forth - Still it renders a blank file. Please refer to my screenshot for more details.
By the way - Why is Live missing such a frequently used function in the clip/sample-view as normalization!?

Whisper: If you render with the Session View up, Live will start rendering at the current start play position. Your clip isn't active, so you get silence. You have to either export with the clip launch button active and the start play position at the beginning of the clip or (failsafe way) just render from the Arrangement View.

In other things: Better not dither if you intend to do any further processing on the audio! (Just a personal remark :)).

Thanks for your reply Small Critters - True, I need to have the clip active and not only that but warp and loop buttons must be activated also, in the clip view - This is really weird, why can't I just export audio as is, without it being warped and looped. It would be very nice to have a normalize button beside the edit- or rev.-button in the clip view.
