HI

I am awaiting my new daw and have 2 monitors - what would be nice is to be able to have the midi-roll page on one monitor - I assume this is not possible at present?

Yes we don't want a Windowed GUI in Ableton Live !

Ben ... your comment on Cubase is somewhat harsh and unfounded ... Ableton is the only non-windowed-GUI audio/MIDI sequencer on the market.

Are you saying Logic , DP, Sonar all suck as well ?

Actually - a modular window system would be better than what they have now:

- Detach the mixer, on second monitor. Then stack mixers (vertical) to have them all on screen at once

- Detach Arrange view, on second monitor, then we can see session and arrange much larger and simultaneiously

etc etc

Detachable interface parts to be rearranged is not at all like a popup

Exactly! I could never understand why Live locked you into one shitty window, having to resize the f*cking things whenever you needed to do something. It's a major pain in the arse.
