My dream iPad multitouch remote App interface

Im sure a lot of people already is developing iPad apps, hopefully also Ableton, so why not make some wishes for an iPad remote application.
I really hope for a app that look a lot like Lives interface, not so eager on learning a new interface just to control a interface i really like. I think a stripped down version of Live would be really nice. Whit multitouch and ability to scroll. I think that would be great. May be like this:
Where the FX button would bring up the effects on that track. Of course it will dynamic draw its interface so there will be no need for mapping or red boxes around the tracks on your computer.
I also hope for connection true USB, no unstable and risky/laggy wifi or bluetooth.
Would be really nice whit more wishes here ...

This would be really useful.
But why make a new interface? Live would work as it is already, since the iPad display is quite big.

Thats true, but i thought a more stripped down version would give more space and bigger areas for interaction, witch in next hand woud give better usability ... ?
Also I thought that a lot of the functoins not would be required from a remote. Not necessary to replace the computer, just give quick access to som key features.
Maybe just transfering the interface width the zoom ability would do the trick ...

Yea, could be... but there are also many ways to perform Live - if you took some of the functionality and make it into an app, it might be useless to someone who's used to working in a different way in Live.
I'd love personally love to go through the room and listen my mix from different places, sit in a different position and adjust the EQ, add effects etc... keep on working with the iPad, using it as a touch-screen Live, with all the same functionality.

Seems like you could already do that with touchOSC or the Argos Interface Builder

As for Ableton making an iPad app, that would be amazing. Something that can do everything the Launchpad and APC40 can would be awesome. You wouldn't even need the colored ring around the clips if the clips give visual feedback with names and colors on the touchscreen itself. But why would Ableton, or Novation, or Akai do that as that would take sales away from their own products? That means that whoever does it won't be any of those 3 companies.

Great bendik, been dreaming about something like this since the first days of the appstore

Look at this

with an Ableton live mobile version this thing could kill some computers.

If the Live interface were just designed to be a little more touch friendly, we wouldn't need external apps or another device. Just install Live on a multi-touch machine running Windows 7. I'm sure Apple will be putting multi-touch in OS X and MacBook Pro soon enough too.

There's something to be said about applications that are designed specifically for touch gestures so it's not enough that hardware supports multitouch. Software has to follow suit as well.

Which is my point exactly. Revamp the Live interface a bit with some multi-touch features and we're all set. Even better would be a multi-touch interface designer window you could pop up and control the underlying Live project with no latency since its built right into the app.

I'm hoping deeply that this app will be able to stream Live's GUI to iPad:
http://wormholeremote.com/
I've been thinking about the same thing also - I don't want some reduced app, since Live will work as it is. I'm just hoping there will be an app that is able to stream the GUI to iPad efficiently enough...
