Anyone using Novation Launchpad's "StepSeq" M4L sequencer?

I'm not a M4L licenced user just yet---Looking to be apart of the family quite soon tho. I've been excited about playing with the Novation released step sequencer patch since I saw it was released...Anybody out there using it as a frequent sequencer? Does it live up to a nice hype? How would you rate it to other sequencers available & floating around? It seems setup quite nicely---Especially with the differn't parameter controls assigned to the right hand row of buttons on the Launchpad

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated guys 8)

Thanks guys

there are better ones out there...
check out 'obo'...and '7up'...
both essentially created for the monome

it's pretty nifty.. but limits you to use 1 instance...
I guess it could be modded to work with the monomeemu..
which allows to work with up to 8 m4l devices per Launchpad

What do you mean by 1 instance?

Thanks for the feedback 8)

well when you enter 'user2' ...
you can either run this one sequencer app by Novation..
or 8 different apps (sequencers)using monome emu..(and switch between them with the 'scene' keys)
or 7up which has a sequencer /'a looper'/ macro control etc..

I've been looking at this - looks great - Does one instance mean you can only use it on one track.

I emailed novation to see if it would be possible to get a polyphonic version meaning it could be used as a chord sequencer, and drum rack sequencer but have had no reply.

How hard would this be to implement for someone who hasn't got max knowledge? Could one of you guys do it in a few minutes?

Lividstep looks great too but I dunno how to map it to a launchpad

Any ideas?

I think one instance per Launchpad, unless using MonomeEMU which gives you 8 diff setups with the scene buttons.

I use livids step. It's for the ohm and block but is open source so i am pretty sure you could easily hack it to work with whatever. here is a video of it working. http://vimeo.com/7828668

Would be nice to turn the note degree on/off independent from the probability control. And doc. on setting that diatonic scale to match traditional scales.
Guess I have to learn max... seems to have potential to rival numerology with some work.
