Gives me a little bit of time to sign the divorce papers with my FCB lol.

^ :-) if it is cheaper than the FCB, that would be great, but it seems like your new footwife is likely way pricier. I'd have to say it seems over-fancy, with the continouous controller pads (ok if you perform in socked feets, i guess).

But the layout, the backlighting, the fact that it includes editor software and the form factor are all just right.

It is USB powered, also a plus, but it is not clear how it does the controlling, if it sends MIDI or what.

doesnt seem like too much on his site is even priced remotely close to the price of the FCB so i'm gonna wager a no. I'm sure its hard working great solid parts but i'm not sure how much i dig the "soft" aspect of it. I know its waterproof which is freaking great but do i need to take my birkenstocks off to play it? and seriously blue leds?

Im cool with the price honestly if it does everything is says on the tin.

As much as I loved my el cheapo FCB, after years with the thing im itching for something a little more "defined" for lack of a better term. FCB is a clunky device, its just too big and too much of a pain when I need to make changes to my workflow.

I bet you could do the same with the Wii Balance Board  just paint some numbers on it..

Hell, I cant even get the Balance Board to work right with Wii fit. Cant imagine what it would be like controlling music software. That thing really hates people with flat feet.

Looks pretty cool to me... and it sends OSC! Anything that moves us towards a midi-less world is a step up in my opinion.

I'm assuming the software actually programs the board and doesn't need to be running all the time...

yep. really, a footswitch like a double length nanoPad, with larger pads, maybe not as many, in a single row minus the x/y control would be plenty enough.

I bet it could be done for $99 easily and would sell like hotcakes.
