Apc 40 Broken Stop clip buttons

Ive barely used the device and any time i move a fader or press a button the stop clip buttons flash and stop the cooresponding clips. It also happens when the Apc is in demo mode without live being open. If i press any of the clip launch buttons the stop clip buttons blink randomly. Its diffenitly a hardware issue. Anybody had any similar issues. what are Akai like for sending stuff back to? Does the costomer have to pay postage.

I recently got the exact same problem, but my warranty is over... First the stop buttons started tripping, and after a few times turning the device on and off some clip launch buttons started to flash randomly too.
It seems like it's some problem with the firmware or a chip error or something. But as far as I could find out there is no way to reset the APC 40 or update firmware. Or is there?
Are there more people with a similar error? And is there any fix?
