graphic performance

i recently installed a new video card in my PC (ATI Radeon 9200SE) and now Live's graphics seem a lot choppier. for example, zooming in and out is not nearly as smooth as before. the thing is, the new card should perform a lot better than my old one. it has 128mb of RAM whereas my old one had only 32mb, for example.

what can i do in either Live or in Windows to better the graphics performance?

assuming you've installed the drivers that came with the card,
if you go to desktop properties.. settings, advanced.. there should be several ATI tabs that allow you to tweak the card.

if anywhere you see an option for "optimal performance vs. optimal quality" go for optimal performance. it might be under 3D.

if that doesnt work, the 9200 comes with alot of tweakability so just play with the settings until you get what you want.

i did install the included drivers. ah, yes. i was wondering about those settings. i didn't want to screw with them much, but i'll have to give it a try.
thanks!

no problem, its a lucky coincidence that i have a house guest this week that brought over his computer with the exact same video card you have. hehehe
