remove vst

i put in a vst/program in and know when ableton starts it freezes up-how do i get to the vst folder to remove it ? thx jj

you have to take the .dll file out of your vst folder

but where do i find the dll folder - when i go into - "my computer" & "abelton program" there is only

DOCS
FACTORY CONTENT
FRACTORY PRESETS
INSTALL
PROGRAM
RESOURCES

and i cant find anything in those that say vst ( and i cant get into the program ) thx jj

locate the dll in
program files / vst plugins folder

under program files there are only

abletonlive engine dll
oceanA dll
&
oceanM dll

nothing with vst ?

When you installed Ableton, you agreed to have your VST dll's stored somewhere on your computer. If you're like me, you installed them in the same folder as your "other" sequencer app, like Logic. You need to find that folder.

If all else fails, do a search on your harddrive for anything ending in "dll." It may take a few minutes, but you'll find where they all are.

perform a search for the term "VST" on your entire computer.
