Splitting Audio Channels for Headphones, live perf., etc!

Hello everyone!

I'm running Ableton 8 Suite on my Intel MacBookPro (OSX 10.5.8.). I've been wondering if there is any way to make it so that I have two channels going, very similar to a live set up ie. have a channel going to a mixer, or just speakers in general but another channel for headphones so I can hear tracks before they are cued and fired for everyone to hear. Thoughts? Suggestions? (even Hardware suggestions, external soundcards? If anybody gigs with Live, I would really appreciate how they have their audio setup.)

Any comments are greatly appreciated, I attempted to ask this question on the Facebook group but weeks later, I have yet to get a response.

Thank you in advance!
:)

you need an audio interface w multiple outputs to do this.....so once you have that, you just set your master outs to 1/2 and your cue out to 3 and plug your headphones into output 3 on your interface

then just hit the cue button on any audio track you would like to hear out of your headphones
