can you tell me a bit more what exactly do you think goes wrong ?

render should sound exactly as what you would hear if you play back the selected portion of time ( in arranger ) or the currently running loops ( in session ). are your results different ?

the quality of fx is , when rendered out , lower than 'live'.

is this a known problem ?

I've noticed some problems not with quality, but with VST FX parameters not 'showing up' in rendered files. for example, buffer override v2 LFO's don't work while Rendering. Not sure who's fault this is, but I recall it working with export audio in Cubase. Work around - record the master out of Ableton back into itself and twiddle your thumbs . . .

I still get pops, clicks and skips in the rendered output. I have had to use a hardware recorder instead, to get decent results.
