Flipping The Phase

Hello

I'd like to create a duplicate of the original bass-track to treat them much differently. I've heard that a lot of people "flipping the phase" on the duplicate track to ensure that these two tracks do not phase each other out.

How can I achieve that in Ableton? Utility-Plugin?

Thanx! :)

Yes , utility. But be sure you really have to invert the phase.

One thing you got to know is, with the utility, when you invert the phase, you cannot see graphically in the waveform.

ok, let's start from scratch: why do i need that? it is quite obvious that i don't understand the whole phase-thing....

If you duplicate the track, there is no reason why it would be out of phase with the first one. To be sure, put the two tracks one on the other, zoom intensively on the waveform, and just check it out !
