Hi guys,

Does anyone know a way to do a gradual tempo shift in scene view.

I am part of a three piece, I have just stemmed out all our tracks so that we can play our songs live, they all have a set tempo apart from one.

In the session for the original song I have automated a tempo shift on the master. I now need for live to able to follow this tempo automation in scene view of my live session. I play synths with heavily arpegiated sounds that need to sync in time through the tempo change.

I can probably work around it but I was wondering if anyone had a solution to achieving a gradual tempo shift is scene view.

Thank You very much.

My guess is that you will need to use a dummy clip with a tempo automation to accomplish this. If you have never used one before you should be able to search "dummy clip" in these forums and find a pleothra of explanations on it.

You can do it manually in 1.0 bpm increments by highlighting the tempo in the upper-left, then using the up or down arrows.

If you hold down shift when you do this, you can do it in 0.1 bpm increments.

Thank you for the replies guys. I have worked out how to use a dummy clip that controls the tempo in session view. The problem I have is that I need to tempo change to be exactly the same curve over time as the automation on the master for the original song.

It would be great if I could copy the tempo automation from the master channel in arrange view and then apply it to the new clip in session view.

Any ideas? Thank you!
