I meant to open my browser to come to this lovely place,
but I must have mis-aimed in the quicklaunchbar,....

and launched LIVE instead 8O

And then it did not want to close down when I clicked the little X,
I had to force it away....

what does it all mean?

just shows you use the wrongest, most crappy way to launch apps: with the quicklaunchbar. tiny, hard to hit the right thing, and never intended by any programmer to get used that way, but as it was "geeky" to enable that hack, it got so hip that it got default, as customers requested it.

the startmenu has quick and easy to access items which you can pin, to never missmatch. read up on fitts law for more detail.

then again.. glad you made it onto the forum again! happy to see you back :)

it means you shouldn't have closed it...
it was a sign.. for you to make music..
but you missed it..
you need to learn to read the signs..so if this opportunity comes along again..
you'll be ready...

and yes.. .
this is a wonderful place for people with special needs..

you know what? I think the shock came from realizing I hit exactly what i wanted to hit,
but the connection Abelton -> Live -> FORUM FTW!!! has become so ingrained I didn't aim for firefox anymore to get here

yes indeedy! And it feels good to be here with you special-needy people.
Thanks for having me!

PS: returning from quick google: Fitts's says clicking targets should be "always in the same place and close together"
i.e. quicklaunchbar
