Need to re-install windows 7 because the evalution time is up tomorrow on the release candidate.

yay for having to re-install epic loads of software.

sucks reinstalling an os tho, remember one time on an old computer had to reinstall windows 4 times, each one a grueling 1 n a half or + hours...not fun.

looks like ive found a temporary fix.
wee brother using the RC aswell, and has his date set to June 09, he isnt getting any messages

it's not like you wheren't informed before you actually downloaded the RC that it's just a RELEASE CANDIDATE, and has a limited time frame, which is over now.

so you had enough time to prepare.

other than that, you CAN do an upgrade to a RTM final version. but you need a license. free lunch is over, except if you want to install a crack, that is, of course..

I do have a legit liscense. (except its Pro and not Ultimate)
and im not complaining about that i wasnt made aware, cause i was well informed before i installed it.
im complaining about having to transfere everything on to an external drive,
re-install pluggins, software, folder organisation.

cause im a lazy bastard.

Is this an OS upgrade/ update? When a new Windows comes out you have to reinstall plugins etc.? WTF? I'm confused. Maybe you just mean backing stuff up.

put your complain into google. first: you knew it's that way, as it was defined at the release of the RC that it needs to be reinstalled. this is to guarantee that no RC bug remains on a RTM system.

but putting your complain into google would tell you, that you can trick RC into being a legit upgradeable installation. so no need to transfer everything onto an external drive, reinstall plugins, software, and do folder organisation.

but there's no need for GOD DOMMOT, as you KNEW it's that way from the start..
