Hello guys,

i'm looking forward to buy a masterkeyboard. But now there's a big problem:
Which one should i buy? :D

i collected some pieces of information in the internet and i found the akai mpk 49. i'm really amazed by its features, but i'm not sure if there are any other similair products, which are a bit cheaper.

So, maybe you've got some nice ideas, which could ease my decission :)

Some things, which are very importan to me:
- i don't want to pay more than 300€ (+- 30€)
- good claviature
- some faders would be very nice :)

ok, guys, i hope you can help me at least a little bit.

So, greetings,
Niclas

I personally like the Microkorg, nanoKontroller combo.

Microkorg = under $300 and the nano for around $60.

You get a hardware synth, a very capable midi controller in the Microkorg, and the nanoKontroller will sort out your fader and knob issues. Just IMO.

There are a lot of good keyboard controllers. I'm sort of with Trypset on this. I plan on getting a microKORG XL soon. The XL version acts as both a USB controller keyboard and as a stand-alone instrument. But, the keys are pretty small.

Since I've been reading these boards like a freak fo so many years, I can tell you that the PCR series from Edirol is a solid middle ground performer:

Many will say M-Audio, but in this category I would go with the Edirol. The Akai seems a little busy to me visually.

the best board I have found to be the main controller for ableton is the axiom pro 49 and the akai 49 are both bad ass boards.

the akai has better keys, knobs, and sliders. I also like the latch, tap tempo, arrpeg but the pads as ok at best

The axiom pro has better pads (yep I'll say it again better pad) I just like the sensitivity. I really like being able to scroll thhr the ableton tracks with the arrows which for me is huge. The ableton control is really usful to see what I'm doing qucikly in the dark

Just hope this helps cause I bought blind but I love these boards
