Looks like ive been living in the Lounge for quite some time.
Just a matter of interest, what version of live are you all using, and is it stable?

Im on 8.0.4 and its working with no problems whatsoever
Tried 8.1 but its was awful luckily i had a 8.0.4.zip lying about somewhere.

hopefully this will help people if they are getting a lot of crashes.

Dunno how much it'll help people tbh: while I'm happily using L8.1.2b6 on OS X 10.6.2 with a handful of plug-ins (mostly Uhbik) and it's been very stable and no pops/clicks, other people with the same Live version aren't happy on their configurations...

stucked at 8.1 with wanting to use M4L

8.0.8, i think i had before, it was the most horrifying version yet, the first few weeks of 8.1.1 where brilliant (i wanted to jump 8.1 and waited, because to much reported issues on the forum) i was all over the moon, because it worked great and then suddenly out of nowhere like a time bomb, bang! a mess again. and no i did not changed a single tiny thing on my setup / computer or 3rd party plugs back then!

8.1.2b6 right now. stable like always except for one bug in a 8.1.0 beta? in the 8.0.9 days at least, in a beta. it got fixed.


if you use the same os as http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=137868, maybe you could send it over to him? (i know it's big. shall i host it somewhere?)

Apart a small bug with autofades and certain bpm values, it is rock solid. os 10.6.2, no 3rd party plugins.

8.1.1 here (recently formatted and restored with Time Machine (kind of defragmentation)) ... works like a charm

Note: I use it only as DAW, not for live performances yet, planning on live on a near future.

Still on 7.0.18 cause it's stable for me... I tried V8 demo and it's buggy.

had a few weird niggles, mainly disk overload issues where there shouldn't be any. But other than that its OK for me.

I am more than likely to upgrade in the next few months though. I play with the 8 demo a few times here and there and I always wind up making something cool, but then I can't save since it's only a demo. I'm gonna get a Launchpad first and use that version of 8 for a bit, since I think it will be good to have limitations for a while.

Haha - famous last words...

8.0.4 here also, downloaded 8.1 but havnt tried it yet to see how it runs for me, but 8.0.4 has been working no crashes in...since ive updated to that version when it came out. So freaking stable i dont ever wana leave it lol.
