Best Way To Get * OUT OF THE BOX * ??? + Microkorg Users

Here are a few ??' for peeps who run signals "out of the box"

I'm gonna hook up an microkorg to an amp and mic it into a RME FF800 into Live 8. I will run midi into the FF800 and hopefully trigger the microkorg thru Live and with its own keyboard.

I also would like to route guitar signals recorded directly in the FF800 into ex.Amplitube3 and then back out through real tube amps. Soft synths need to come out also to the same amps. I'm guessing atm that external instrument rack is the way to achieve this.

I currently only have a midi controller keyboard and thinking about getting the MK and want to make sure I'm thinking right.

My ??s are thus:

1.Will there be an unbearable amount of latency?

2. Do I need some kind of device to convert the signals out of the FF800 into the amp? if so what is the best gadget to do it?

3. Are there any microkorg players that have a similar setup? what is your method?

1. Yes.

2. No.

3. Yes I used to to. I've since sold the microkorg although i still have one Hw synth set up this way. Now everythign is patch bay connected i can run what i want where I want. The problem with re-amping is the micing technique and the additional noise. I do it very rarely nowdays, just a PITA.

I run my guitar through Live and out to an amp on stage with basically no noticeable latency. I think it just depends on what your computer and interface can handle.
