quirky funky fun!

the end is sudden but with a track like that I guess that's what you do.

the instruments fit around the pocket very well. I like the breakdowns.

what is your method for chopping and laying this stuff down?

I love tracks like this!

Is that a microkorg I hear in there?

This is a nice track yo, although I kept waiting for like a HUGE drop and for it to just go all out for the end

hi,

thanks for listening ! glad you like it.

@Tone Deft, yes i think the end is sudden too. but that's to make you frustated, and listen it again ;)
i've no absolute method... just playing with sounds, cutting, slicing , pasting pieces of sounds i have on my hard drive. i use really few midi tracks, i build tracks like i played lego. i used to make music with acid for a *long* while (and i still do sometimes).
@heavensdaw, thanks !
@hautle, no microkorg, only old casio/bontempi synths, cut and re-cut...

this track is just the beginning of the collaboration, it was a test to see what could happen if we exchange tracks/sounds/ideas.
so let's continue it :)

i get some doubts on the "mastering". it's a really hard task. does this sounds good in your speakers ?

cheers,

g

Ya, it sounded OK. I just listened on my laptop though, so not a proper "system". I feel you on the mastering. I think that is the area I need to work on the most

That's awesome, love the feel of it. I was just thinking that it sounds damn good as far as overall production goes. I wouldn't worry if I was you... well I always worry, so I probably would worry if i was you. Worrying isn't it.

It comes over as simple with lots of space even though there is quite a lot going on, that's a great balance.
