what are cfg files?

machd/users/buzby/music/ableton/live recordings/temp project/ableton project info/project.cfg

there are a whole list of temp projects here

1/is this just sets that i ve started and trashed without saving? - i just wanna trash these if that is the case
2/what are cfg files?

the temp project is created when you start recording in a set which does not yet belong to a project. (haven't saved yet)

it gets removed to the save location once you do..

the .cfg file is present in every project folder. it has some info about the project (file management index of some sort?) not sure.

i keep a folder called 'rescued from temp' and occasionally do some housecleaning in the working directory. anything good i find in the folders, i drag to the rescue folder, and then trash the temps...

if you close without a save, it should give you a dialog box about "do you want to delete temporary files"

I just deleted a bunch of temp projects. I didn't realize there were so many of them just laying around.
