I'm getting into instrumental hip-hop and I'm wondering what some good free sites are to get usable drum loops. I already know about freesound and ihatebreakcore, but I'm looking for beats that more slow and funky. Also if I could find some cool sound effects, vinyl emulation and what not that'd be cool too.

I have a load of the classics on my site - originally sourced by a guy called bourbon breaks, mirrored on mine, a load of the old jungle classics, but obv hip hop too. All ripped from CD so great quality.

wouldn't bother with anything else. Those are thanks largely to Doubleclick(of Two Fingers fame) and Loachm, both initially uploaded and shared on DoA, but now very helpfully hosted by this chap's site. Mostly rexed... lovely.

Breaks FTW. I think all of us have, at one time or another, spent countless hours farming through page after page after page of a thread to find those elusive grooves... Too many Amens, though!
