A part from the partly sad stories which you shared on this topic you had the force to make me laugh about the dating consultant. Thank for that.
Beats me philosophy is what I'd like to implement.
If you're going to be fired anyway, what's the point in working too much?
Simply delaying the inevitable?
Send them to hell. All of them.
And it's time to try.....

Some people's work and hours preferences I find odd. I have a friend who makes over 100K whenever he works for a company and works around 40 hours a week. Wow, dream jobs. But not to him. He finds himself bored or confined when he works for companies. Twice since I've known him he's quit well paying stable jobs to start his own company where he's working ungodly hours and is always broke because his priority is to pay his employees before himself. I don't get that at all, and he does do his share of bitching about it, but he wouldn't do it if he didn't get some level of satisfaction in being his own boss and the boss of others. Unfortunetly these ventures never seem to last and he's back to reluctantly making bank working for The Man. And repeat.

I have no problem being little more than an employee ID number if the job and future are stable.

jack of all trades master of none.. is attractive. Don't sell yourself short. A resume is nothing but a glorified list and careful plays on words. Part of the trick isn't necessarily what you put on one... but what you leave off.

anyway,
best

And hang in there Pasha...

Beats, he's saying to leave out the failed porn star career. Your mutant-like large dick won't help you at Cisco.

You're just jealous because Mrs. Ethios4 finds me exotic. Don't hate me because I'm tanned.

Don't worry dude, I can't even do a Cm7 in first inversion...as soon as you whip out your ax, my curryness will lose any prowess.

Hope you guys can make it! Do you know people there who you can stay with?

Beats -- look for greener pastures now...
If your intuition is to 'go' then do it... follow those honed instincts.
No harm in looking.
/ rant over/

Pasha -- Power thru. Use your hate of the 'smileys'.
They leave early.. so now you can fuck with them.
Stink chair, desk slime, file 52 shuffle (alphabetical +1, etc) ... its all fair when you put in the time, and they're slack on your dime.
Take 30 min to squeeze some pleasure out of your pathetic co-nonworkers.
Just make sure management is aware of your diligence & others absence.

I appreciate all of your posts, thank you.
It's the first time I share part of my non-musical life here
and it has been nice. Sometimes we need an external comment
a fresh mind, a fresh suggestion. This has to come from the outside
of the problem and you provided a lot.
First I understood that I'm part of the problem:

I like my work, while most work for their salaries only.
I'm a precise person with a will to make things at the best of my capabilities.
People known me as someone that once given a target, never steps back.
I have to copycat the behavior of the smart smiling asses
they never have time for new activities, always into something else.
Conversely when I'm asked to do something I browse my schedule just to find
a minimum amount of time for the request to be satisfied. ERROR.
Being a Jack of all Trades doesn't pay.

My boss knows, I have talked to him and he partly agrees but
he has not enough power.
In an IT company, Sales drive, Tech people strive...
He showed me some private e-mails he had with Sales.
He was actually protecting me from a lot of shit I wasn't aware of.
I started reading Dilbert again, there's so much similarity with my company.

Has been useful 'talking' with you. Many ideas that I will put into action.
We'll see, we'll see... 8O :D

I don't think I can work for a company, whether it's big or small again. Perhaps a startup, but I just can't handle all the egos, politics, and nonsense that comes with working in a corporate environment.
