Ableton Forum

Im programming my own drum beats with the Impulse, and tap them out on my midi keyboard. obviously I get off beat. How do I quantize it properly? I selected "record quantization" and changed it to 16th notes to have a complex drum and bass beat, but it always seems to make it quarter notes.
Any ideas what Im doing wrong??
