From start to finish, a comprehensible/compendium in video format to augment/expand User guide.
I know lessons are offered along with Live and they are good, but whenever I actually see it in action, it sticks.
I believe it would create a stronger loyalty from consumers also, due to having a quick reference, easy learning curve, and the support offered up from Ableton. Especially newer users, Ableton is a beast unto itself, and can be easy to not fully understand or utilize all the features.
And coming right from "the source", it would almost always do away from the endless searching for good instruction.
The benefits of such video documentation would become perpetual and ever expanding.
I know Ableton has a you tube channel, but seems to lack the sincerity in development to full realization of 'what could be'.
A live user/musician/dj/producer with true understanding becomes a salesman just by knowing his gear, and a better critic of what Live could/should become, helping to ensure the success of Ableton. A win/win scenario and a better business model of how things could be done.
An argument could be raised that is why schools are in business, and it isn't up to Ableton to tutor. Yet I see it as the natural evolution of what will help sustain not only the company but the creative consumer. And I seriously have doubts that any school is able to offer knowledge that is in proportion to what they expect in compensation. So in consequence, there are many who for lack of money or time struggle with full understanding, maiming them to their own cycles of discovery.The community is great, the best out there, but cannot fully engage a fledgling Live user, and what ends being the same questions asked over and over again.
I think more important than ever with the addition of Max for Live, else it becomes a folder in most users libraries, neglected to it's full potential.
This should be seriously considered, I lack the skills to fully project how much this could change the game.

bodhi71 - just start answering questions on the forum. if you're wrong and someone corrects you, you just learned something. if someone is asking about something you don't know, try to find the answer. that's a GREAT way to find and try new features you haven't learned yet.

go through the tips n tricks sticky.

open the help box and hover the mouse around the Live GUI.

right click on everything you can find, read up and try the feature.

I'm not a big fan of books for this kind of thing, I learned (still learning) from the forum.

We'd love to do something like this.

As with all things, however, it's primarily an issue of limited resources.

Good to see a reply from Ableton!
It's something I've kicked around for a while, and resources seemed to be the one sticking point.
Although I cannot discount Tone's comments, as there usually contains wise words, I stand by what I said previously, it's a great idea.
Even if it meant a reasonable one time subsription fee, I could easily see any expenditures recouped very quickly, along with a profit.
Perhaps a poll from Ableton HQ might be in order?
