versiontracker.com - look for a utility which i think is called "mp3 to wave". it'll do bulk conversion, so if you've got a bunch of mp3s to convert, it'll probably be the fastest way to do it.

Freeware apps (MP3-to-WAV, MP3-to-AIFF) for OS X
http://hem.passagen.se/deep9/mplay/
Click on Tools to download. The apps are simple to use and you can batch-convert by dragging multiple mp3 files into the box.

Hi,
iTunes for OSX or XP will do the job just fine.

Yep, iTunes works as well. The only down side is the files become dirty laundry in your iTunes library list and being that there are hundreds to convert, it's a lot of unnecessary maintenance. The drag-n-drop batch conversion of "mp3-To-Wav" can't be beat.

you can easily set itunes NOT to automatically organize the music library.
i assign the itunes music folder to my desktop and it becomes much easier to sift through that way.
for batch conversion, there can be some quirks indeed. any artist/title id tags in the mp3s will turn into folders. yuck.

if you have a Mac running OS X you already have all that you need, iTunes! iTunes can convert to and from and number of different formats and gives you a good amount of control over the properties.
