Launchpad driver disk faulty.can i download the software?

i found the driver on the novation site.but do i need to find the 'launchpad edition' of ableton? or will the latest live update work?

the launchpad edition is not really worthy.
You can go for the latest live 8
Or go for the latest live 7.0.18 which handles both apc40 AND Launchpad.
