Hi
Ableton live suite 8 is crashing often latley, its not really that bad since i can reopen my work but i imagine it would suck big time when you perform live.
It happens almost only when i do things that are a bit bigger then just creating a loop, like importing songs, slicing them to midi and so on. Im running live on a macbook pro is this a cpu or ram problem or what ?

Search the forum for threads about live 8 crashes. What are the specs on your mac. I've read some folks posting that once you start using more than 2+ gb of ram (I think ) that live 8 becomes unstable....If you have 7 lots of people are switching back. Check the quality thread (official statement from ableton about the problems) at the top of the general forum and it will shed some light on the subject.
Best of luck

Maybe contribute with bug reports due beta testing the latest version, so we all benefit from having less bugs and crashes
