Summing mixer

Hi guys, i'm in the process of moving house, my new studio will be much smaller, so i'm considering selling my 24 channels d&r dyner mixer and getting a summing mixer, i was very tempted by the tla fat track, it will solve monitoring too and has two preamps that i can use as input, the dangerous music d box is cool too, but i will need to take a couple of preamps from the other studio i have...
what you guys think? have you tried those units? can you spend some good words on some other models?
the budget is around a 1000 1500, and i will need so kind of monitor control such as mackie big knob if the summing mixer doesn't have one already.
thanks

SSL x-desk or x-rack, it is around your budget.
This, the SSL, is a seriously sounding mixer. i don't know the particular model, but i doubt that you can go wrong with dangerous music products!

I'm currently using a Neve 8816 and recommend it highly. If I didn't have the Neve I'd probably grab the D Box as it's a great product at a great price. If you've got the budget, the Shadow Hills Equinox is a serious contender.

Hi guys, thanks for the reply,
Shadow Hills Equinox, sounds like the best thing but it's almost 3 times over my budget...
neve : very nice, i did try it with the fader pack and was very happy about it, but again it's 2 times my budget
ssl xdesk, it'sover bufget too, shame, sounds like the perfect solution for my studio....
nobody gave opinion on the tla fat track, i guess it's not as "pro" as the other gear, i would love to try it because except the luck of mono switch that puts me really off, it's just the right size price and features.
i think i'll get the dangerous d-box, read some reviews and only heard good opinions about it
thanks!

Sorry, yeah Shadow Hills is really expensive stuff. A friend just got the summing mixer and 2 compressors for his studio, loves it so I thought I'd mention it. I just think people should know it's out there. Their side chain filter compressors are ridiculous. I haven't come across too many pieces of gear that nice.
Edit: Keep in mind your gain structure will be different if you decide to go the analog summing route. Should be fun.

you said your budget is around 1000 - 1500, what euros?
the X-desk should be available for around 1600 - 1800 look for good offers, @ thomann, etc... it is worth the stretch.
or checking one second hand...
