Now that my crackling problem is solved, I can route the audio from my MOTU into Ustream, so it is nice and clear, and I can capture my visualization output and broadcast it farily clearly too.
I think I will have a regular Ustream show. Not sure which day yet, but it would have to be at night, like 10pm -5hrs GMT.
Would you watch this show? Keep in mind there is a possibility of goat appearances.

You definitely should.
TURRBOTAX® does one on Saturday's at 2pm Est. It's a blast.

well, from the poll thus far it definitely looks like I'll need to contact the goats' agent.

I certainly wouldn't watch it. I don't see the point. There will inevitably be quality concessions for the sake of live broadcast. Unless you can broadcast in high quality without any hiccups - I'd prefer if you simply recorded a live set, encoded it, and uploaded it.
better quality all round and on-demand streaming (for say, a week) = win.
sucky quality with streaming hiccups and a specific time to stream = immeasurable fail.

^ That's a good point. At least one of the nice things about Ustream is that it also records what you are streaming so it is always available. But yea the quality will always be better if it's pre-recorded, although you could get creative with the possibilities in Ustream....audience can send audio/video/text messages into the stream, etc.

Last party I played there was a guy walking around with a laptop streaming the party using his webcam and onboard mic. Hehehehe.

Yes, the live feedback is an aspect of the live streaming I like. The audio coming right out of the interface is very clean. But i get irritated by poorer quality video, also, I need to mess around to see what I can do with which camera.
Also, the damn goats have seen the survey somehow, and now they are pushing for top billing.

how's live feedback any different to ... um... regular feedback ?
it's gonna be the same douchebags commenting one way or another.

true dat. I am thinking of doing a better quality one and posting it on vimeo (it mostly depends on what the goats say anyway).
