Who fancies dusting off their microphones???

Post by re.mark » Mon Mar 22, 2010 11:21 am

Heyup - Im working on a project at the minute and for the introduction I have this 'aural vision' of loads of words (related to the project) being repeated in different voices, building up to a climax.

I dont have many (any) voice actors at my disposal so thought I might try call upon my friends at the Ableton Forums

Basically, Im looking for differnt people to record themselves (or a family member - I hate the sound of my own voice too :p) speaking one word each and then email me a wav file of said word.
Ideally I'd like a clean version (no processing), but if you want to send a second crazily processed/mangeled version also Id be exstatic.

The words I'm looking for are:

Business
Training
Education
Management
Learning
Development
Experience
Leadership
Growth
Strategy
Commitment
Entheusiasm

If you could reply quoting the word you want to record, that way two of the same people dont do the same word (although, if you want to do multiple words I wont complain)

All I as is for 1 second silence top and tail and a 24bit 44.1khz .wav (non-dithered or normalized) emailed to me at re.mark@hotmail.co.uk or hosted yourself and PM'd over.

Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaseeeeee
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :D

Why not send you one big wave file with all the words? It would be quicker i think.

You choose what you like then :)

True, a good point sir.
I just thought it felt like less work for people to just say one or two works, but as many as possible is greaaat!! :)

Sorry I don't have my pre-amp on me, but I just did a quick google for
"business.wav"
"training.wav"
"education.wav"
and got multiple hits for all that lead to audio recordings.

Some homemade, some from movies and some from TV. If copyright isn't an issue for this project, and you want a wide range of diverse deliveries and recording qualities (or fodder to FSU), this could work.

Ones above I found quickly:

No worries, happy to be of service!

Every word ever spoken has been recorded, it seems....
