hello,

im using corpus to add an extra textural dimension to my drum sounds,

does anybody know what exactly 'ratio' in corpus membrane refer to?

reference book says 'it is the ratio of the object's size along its x and y axis'

does that mean at ratio 100%, y axis is longer than x axis or vice versa?

sounds like y axis is the longer than x axis at ratio 100%

but just wanna confirm this fact.

seems to me like at 0% it's a longer and narrower membrane..
and at 100% short and wide..

so to me it sounds the opposite..

Aren't they the same thing? Something that is short and wide, but has the same dimensions as something that is long and thin is simply the same shape turned through 90 degrees...

yeah... in a 2 dimensional world..
except for the actual (coded) shape of the membrane..
the properties of the openings and the body length change the whole timbre..
